Prior to the Al Amr & Bin Ali Law Firm merger, Amer was the managing partner of Amer Al Amr Law Firm and prior to that, a fully integrated Partner at an International Law Firm. With over 22 years of experience, Amer Al-Amr handles a broad range of litigation and arbitration matters in the KSA, including insurance and re-insurance matters, assisting renowned local and international clients.

Amer also has provided advice to clients on a number of corporate and commercial matters in relation to initial public offerings, joint ventures, acquisitions, foreign investment, company incorporation and services and distribution contracts for renowned national and international companies.

Amer has previously worked at other law firms in the region as well as acting as legal advisor to numerous companies in Saudi Arabia.

RECENT MATTERS

• Litigation cases in Saudi Arabia for companies in many sectors such as IP litigation, construction companies, retail companies, pharmaceutical companies, labour cases litigation, insurance litigation and enforcement of forgone Arbitration awards in Saudi Arabia.
• Provided dispute resolution advice including the implementation of strategies to avoid traditional paths of litigation and arbitration and also conducted all forms of dispute resolution over a real estate distribution throughout Middle East for a major family in the region.
• As a Legal advisor for Lucent Technologies Inc. Saudi Arabia branch, Amer was responsible for the legal affairs and coordinated with government offices relating to official and judicial matters and represented all court cases of the company.
• Represented leading pharmaceutical and telecommunication companies in various litigation cases in Saudi Arabia.
• Advised leading local and international insurance companies in major reinsurance cases in Saudi Arabia.
• Representing insurance and re-insurance companies in Saudi Arabia as litigator to recover from third parties involved in major claims.
• Advising on M&A in connection to private and public companies in Saudi Arabia.
• Advising international companies on the Saudi railway bid in the light of the Government Tenders and Procurement Law.
• Advising various multinational and Saudi companies with structuring and general advice, joint venture and distribution arrangements.
• Enforcing foreign arbitration and judgment award in Saudi Arabia for a leading international company.
